Since its founding by Antoine LeCoultre in 1833, Jaeger- LeCoultre has developed over 430 patents and 1,300 calibers , making it the leading " engineer " in the Swiss watch industry. The Thomas Crown Affair (1999) is a stylish crime film about the exploits of Thomas Crown, a wealthy man who gets into dangerous jobs in search of thrills. It is a remake of the 1968 film The Thomas Crown Affair starring Steve McQueen .
Pierce Brosnan, who plays Thomas Crown in this film, wears a Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Duo (Ref. 270.1.54) in the film. Incidentally, in the original The Thomas Crown film, Steve McQueen wears a Cartier Tank Cintrée . Both of these watches have elegant rectangular cases.

One night just before Christmas, an unidentified girl is brought to Anna ( Naomi Watts ), a midwife working at a hospital. The only possessions left by the girl who dies after giving birth are a diary written in Russian and a shop card for a Russian restaurant tucked inside the diary.
When Anna's Russian relative reads the diary, he discovers that it contains details of human trafficking involving the Russian mafia. Desperate to find out the girl's identity for the sake of her unborn child, Anna contacts the mafia using the shopping card. She proposes a deal to tell them the girl's identity in exchange for the diary. Nikolai ( Viggo Mortensen ), a mafia driver, appears at the transaction and advises Anna to stay away from the case, but Anna gradually becomes attracted to Nikolai, who is mysterious and sometimes shows kindness.

Eastern Promises (2007) is a mysterious and violent film directed by David Cronenberg , known for classic horror films such as Scanners (1981) and The Fly (1986).
In this film, which is filled with the kind of tactile and physical expression that is typical of director Cronenberg, Viggo Mortensen, who plays the mysterious Russian mafia boss Nikolai, wears a Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Control (Ref. Q1398120) .
Nikolai is a mysterious man who exudes an overwhelming sense of eeriness and strength, yet for some reason behaves as if he is suppressing himself and trying not to stand out. " Malavita " (2013) is a crumb comedy directed by Luc Besson, director of " Léon " (1994) and " The Fifth Element " (1997).
In this film, which depicts a chaotic family that, despite being protected by the FBI, mercilessly beats up anyone they don't like (such as French people who are prejudiced against Americans), Robert De Niro, who plays the father, Fred, the head of the family, wears a Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox .

Hank takes on the defense of his father, who is suffering from memory loss as a side effect of terminal cancer treatment, and begins to delve into his father's past.

When you think of Jaeger-LeCoultre, everyone probably thinks of the Reverso , but in the film we were able to see not only the Reverso, but also many models with round cases.
The luxury watches that appear in movies tend to be the iconic models that represent the brand, such as Omega's " Speedmaster ," Audemars Piguet's " Royal Oak ," and Panerai's " Luminor Marina ." Rolex and Jaeger-LeCoultre are probably the only two brands that have such a wide range of models.

Each model has a history, and the high functionality and variety of the watches, which are called "technical", clearly express the "intention" and "purpose" of the person wearing the watch. And yet, Jaeger-LeCoultre watches combine grace and elegance, and really "stand out" when shown up close on the screen.
