Well, this time I would like to use this column to introduce the appeal of the recently arrived Patek Philippe watches. The "Ref. 6006G-001" features a rare pointer date and a red accent on the needle tip.
This new model for 2017 commemorates the 40th anniversary of the birth of the Caliber 240, and is the successor to the "Ref. 6000" released in 2005. The case diameter has been increased by 2 mm and it has been released in a larger size. Due to the structure of the Caliber 240, it has a small second hand at around 4 o'clock, rather than the center second hand or small second hand at 6 o'clock that is seen in general watches, making it one of the few asymmetrical models in the Patek Philippe collection.
Furthermore, it has a sporty or casual feel that has never been seen in any other Patek Philippe watch before. I remember that when the previous "Ref. 6000" was released, there was a lot of controversy over the Arabic numerals, as they were not like a Patek Philippe watch.
The previous "Ref. 6000" had a variety of colorful dials, including gray, blue, and brown, but this time, the combination of an 18KWG (white gold) case and a simple black dial gives it a sophisticated and neat appearance. The red tip of the pointer date hand also stands out against the black dial.
The thin movement with a micro rotor can be seen through the see-through case back. The watch for sale has minor wear from use, but no noticeable scratches and the case is sturdy. Ref.5167A-001 Aquanaut Extra Large SS
I don't think I need to explain this at this point, but among Patek Philippe watches , the Aquanaut, which is equally as popular as the Nautilus, has an extra large size SS (stainless steel) case, Ref. 5167A-001.
The Aquanaut was released in 1997 and attracted a lot of attention due to its rounded octagonal case, which was originally inspired by the Nautilus, and its "Tropical" band, a high-tech composite material that is waterproof, towing-resistant, and UV-resistant. The "Tropical Band", which uses a composite material for the strap, is synonymous with the Aquanaut, and the SS (stainless steel) case is particularly popular.
The "Ref. 5167A-001" being sold by Commit this time is particularly noteworthy in that it is an extremely late model, has never been used, is unused, has a relatively long tropical band, and still has some of the protective sticker on the SS (stainless steel) folding buckle.
