Good evening everyone.

Among our lineup, the Grand Complication model has been popular recently. While the market price is reasonable, perhaps the focus is shifting to classic models with leather straps.

So this time, I'd like to introduce you to my favorite model among the leather strap models, so please read to the end!

"Ref.5204P-011"
"Perpetual Calendar Split Second Chronograph" PT

The Perpetual Calendar Split-Second Chronograph "Ref. 5204P-011" features a platinum (PT) case and black dial and was announced at Baselworld in 2014.

At first glance, the combination of a platinum (PT) case and black dial may seem common, but it is actually only available on high-end models, making it a special watch. It is also extremely rare, as production was sadly discontinued just five years after its release.

Now, before getting into the main topic, I would like to briefly talk about the "Ref. 5204."

In 2012, the Ref. 5204P-001 was released, featuring a platinum case and silver dial, and equipped with the new horizontal clutch split-seconds hand chronograph movement, Cal. CHR 29-535 PS Q, which was entirely developed and manufactured in-house.

This model is based on the in-house manual-winding chronograph featured in the "Perpetual Calendar Chronograph" "Ref. 5270" (2011), but adds a split-seconds mechanism. Incidentally, while we have stocked many "Ref. 5204" models in our shop, we have yet to see this particular model. Some say it's a "prototype," but it's a special watch that we're sure to see someday!

Then there's the "Ref. 5204P-010," which was released in 2014 as a minor change model of the original "Ref. 5204P-001."

The dial index borders and the color of the hour and minute hands changed from black to silver, and this model was released at the same time as the black dial "Ref. 5204P-011" or shortly before it.

The "Ref. 5204/1R-001" was announced as a new model in 2017, with an 18KRG (rose gold) case and bracelet.

This is the only "Ref. 5204" model with a bracelet, and although we carried it in our store, I remember it being extremely rare on the market and highly sought after. The combination of the 18KRG case and black dial is elegant yet exudes a mature sexiness, and the slightly glossy ebony black sunburst dial adds an even more alluring touch. Unfortunately, production of this model will end in 2022.

The new "Ref. 5204R-011" is released in the fall of 2021 and is the first "Ref. 5204" to feature a dial other than black or silver.

The combination of the slate gray soleil dial, the same color strap, and the warm 18KRG case creates a stylish and noble impression. This watch is in very good condition with almost no signs of wear, and we had it in stock at Commit until recently, but it is now for sale.
*The "Ref. 5204R-001" with an 18KRG case and silver dial has also been announced as a new model for 2016, but this is a model that has not yet been committed to stock.

The "Ref. 5204G-001" was released in 2022 and is the first "Ref. 5204" to feature an 18KWG (white gold) case.

The gradient olive green soleil dial is extremely beautiful, creating an appealing design that will captivate anyone who sees it. This is the only "Ref. 5204" currently on sale.

Now that we've covered that, let's get back to the main topic.

Compared to previous "Perpetual Calendar Chronographs," this model features bold design changes, such as the addition of a leap year display (between 4 and 5 o'clock), a white and blue day/night indicator window (between 7 and 8 o'clock), and the moon phase window at 6 o'clock, which was previously cut out at the top, now moved to the bottom. Other improvements include an increased size for the date display around the moon phase, an increased size for the calendar window displaying the day and month at 12 o'clock, and luminous coating on the hour and minute hands and dial indexes, greatly improving legibility.

The chronograph is operated in the same way as a regular watch, with the push button at 2 o'clock to start and stop the time, and the push button at 4 o'clock to reset the time. The "split-seconds" is started and stopped using the push button integrated with the crown at 3 o'clock. This large crown has a striking presence, creating a special feeling.

The case is 14.3mm thick, giving it a solid feel, but there is absolutely no stress when wearing it; in fact, this plump feel is charming and beautiful.

The movement, which can be seen through the skeleton case back, is the "Cal. CH 29-535 PS Q," which was developed and manufactured entirely in-house. Each and every part is meticulously finished, allowing you to feel the tradition and high level of Patek Philippe's technical expertise. And yet, isn't it just too beautiful? lol

The warranty date is 2016. The leather pass case that holds the warranty documents is also luxurious, and the included closed back and setting pin for adjusting the calendar can be set inside.

The selling price you're interested in is...

That's what I wanted to say, but it ended up going on sale while I was writing this article... I'm sorry. However, with such a beautiful piece, it's no wonder that there are people who have been eyeing it.
