Good evening everyone.

The cold wave is starting to affect not only Japan but also the world these days, so I hope you are staying healthy. Influenza and coronavirus are also spreading, so please be sure to take care of your health.

Well, this time we have the first and second generation models of the "World Time" in stock at the same time, so we would like to introduce them to you! Which one do you prefer? Please read to the end!

"Ref.5110G-001"
『World Time』18KWG

The "Ref. 5110G-001" has a 37mm case diameter and is made of elegant and heavy 18KWG (white gold).

The dial design, movement, etc. are well balanced, making this a very comfortable watch to wear.

Let's now briefly touch on the history of this World Time watch, which is an essential part of any discussion of Patek Philippe, and then we'll move on to the Ref. 5110G-001 we're introducing.

The first wristwatch with a square case and a world time mechanism invented by Louis Cottier, the Ref. 515 HU, was released in 1937. This was followed by the Ref. 1415 HU in 1939 and the Ref. 2523 HU in 1953, but these models can now only be seen at overseas auctions, and some are worth hundreds of millions of yen.

And after more than 40 years, the modern version of the "World Time" "Ref. 5110" was born in the millennium of 2000. The case materials are 18KWG (white gold), 18KYG (yellow gold), 18KRG (rose gold), and PT (platinum), and only the PT (platinum) material has a blue sub-dial and a diamond set at the 6 o'clock side of the case.

The "Ref. 5110" has a push button at the 10 o'clock position on the case that links the hour hand, 24-hour rotating disk, and city name disk. This may sound like a simple function to some, but if you actually try operating the watch, you will be able to experience the complex mechanism.

The movement that can be seen through the sapphire crystal skeleton case back is the "Cal. 240 HU." The watch we are introducing this time still has four engravings on the back of the lugs, and the case looks sturdy.

The inner box shows signs of aging, but it comes with a warranty (dated October 2004), booklets including the World Time "Ref. 5110" instruction manual, a pass case, an outer box and other accessories, and the genuine alligator strap currently attached to the watch is unused. The usual strap for the "Ref. 5110" is a rare size of 20-14mm, and it takes time to have it replaced by the manufacturer, so this is a nice point.

The selling price is 4,983,000 yen (tax included)

There is demand for this model not only in Japan but also overseas, and it is becoming less available on the market, so I think it will become even more exciting in the future. It is in good condition and comes with all the accessories, so if you are interested, please contact us as soon as possible!

"Ref.5130G-001"
『World Time』18KWG

The "World Time" "Ref. 5130G-001" was released in 2006 as the successor to the "Ref. 5110".

The case diameter has increased from 37mm to 39.5mm, the design of the center of the dial has been changed from guilloche to sunbeam, and the design of the hands (hour hands) has been changed to the so-called "apple hand". In addition, the change in the design of the center makes it easier to set the current time (especially in minutes), and the increase in the size of the dial has made the city name rings slightly larger, which has greatly improved visibility.

The changes to the case size, hands, and sub-dials have made a big difference in the impression, but which one do you prefer?

As with the "Ref.5110", you can enjoy the beautiful movement of the "Cal.240 HU" through the skeleton case back. This movement is also installed in the "Ref.5230", the successor to the "Ref.5130", so you can see that the movement was already completed when the first model was released.

The watch comes with a warranty card (dated April 2010), booklets including the instruction manual for the World Time Ref. 5130, a pass case, an outer box and other accessories, and the genuine alligator strap currently attached is almost in good condition. In addition, the watch has been overhauled twice by the manufacturer in the past (in 2019 and 2024) and has approximately two years left on the repair warranty period, so you can use it with confidence.

The selling price is 4,785,000 yen (tax included)
