Good evening everyone.

Last week, a very shocking incident occurred in Ginza. As it happened right under our noses, it is of course not something that can just happen to someone else, and our store has strengthened and strengthened its security measures more than ever before. We understand that our customers may be worried, but we hope that you will feel safe when visiting our store.

*For information on security measures, please see here .

Well, today we have a new product in stock that is packed with great features. We would like to introduce it to you along with its predecessor. Please stay with us until the end.

"Ref.5140R-011"
"Perpetual Calendar" 18KRG

The "Ref. 5140R-011" was released in 2014 and features an 18KRG (rose gold) case and silver opaline dial that gives it an elegant look.

The case diameter is 37.2mm, which is 1.2mm larger than the previous model "Ref.3940" which was 36mm, and the overall appearance is well-balanced. The dial design has longer bar indexes and larger numbers and letters on the sub-dial, improving visibility.

Let's now briefly talk about the features and lineage of the predecessor model, Ref. 3940, and its successor, Ref. 5140.

In 1985, the Perpetual Calendar "Ref. 3940" was released as a model for the next generation, equipped with the famous "Cal. 240 Q" movement.

The Ref. 3940 has a well-balanced and classical atmosphere with a slim 36mm case. This long-selling model, which was manufactured for about 20 years until 2006, was available in four materials: 18KYG (yellow gold), 18KRG (rose gold), 18KWG (white gold), and PT (platinum). Until now, 18KYG (yellow gold) was widely available on the market, but in recent years, the Ref. 3940 itself has become very rare, which shows its rarity and popularity today. (By the way , the 18KWG (white gold) model shown in the above image was recently in stock, but it was sold out the day after it was posted.)

The "Ref. 3940" is roughly divided into three dial variations, and the watch we currently have in stock is the third generation (the model in the image above) .

The characteristics of each generation are as follows:

"First generation"
- Produced between 1985 and 1987, with approximately 700 units in existence.
- The subdials at the 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock positions are recessed, and the colors of the dial and subdials are different.
Second Generation
- Produced between 1987 and 1989, with approximately 800 units in existence.
The subdials at the 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock positions are slightly larger and shallower, and the colors of the dial and subdials are almost the same.
Third Generation
- Manufactured between 1989 and 2006.
- The leap year display at the 3 o'clock position has a line separating the numbers.

Then, in 2006, the "Perpetual Calendar" "Ref. 5140" was born with the discontinuation of the "Ref. 3940".

Initially, only the "Ref. 5140G-001" with an 18KWG (white gold) case and silver opaline dial was available, but later, more models with different materials and dials were released, resulting in a wider variety of options .

Genealogy of the "Ref.5140" series
2007: "Ref. 5140J-001" (18KYG (yellow gold) case x silver opaline dial)
2010: "Ref. 5140R-001" (18KRG (rose gold) case x brown dial)

2014: "Ref. 5140R-011" (18KRG (rose gold) case x silver opaline dial)
: "Ref.5140P-013" (PT (platinum) case x black dial with diamond indexes)

Now, let's return to the topic of the "Ref. 5140R-011" that we will be introducing this time.

The movement that can be seen from the skeleton back is the "Cal.240 Q" that has been in use since it was adopted about 40 years ago. The case thickness is kept to 9mm, so it fits well on the wrist and is stress-free to wear. Hats off to Patek Philippe for their high level of technology.

This is an unused item that has been kept in excellent condition. The alligator strap is also in perfect condition with no wrinkles.

The warranty date is April 2016. All accessories are included and it is in very good condition. It is expected that it will be extremely difficult to find such a perfect model on the market in the future.

The selling price is 7,997,000 yen (tax included)

Although it is a "Grand Complication" model, it has a very thin case, so we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a refined and elegant watch!
