A Note from the Appraiser

There are some scratches due to use, but the case lugs are thick and have sharp edges, and the hairline finish is beautiful, making this a good piece.
The dial is an ivory dial with a "center split" design, with the chronometer markings at 6 o'clock open in the center. The tritium luminous hands and indexes have a beautifully burnished appearance, creating an exceptional piece.
The accessories include a warranty card, chronometer certificate, calendar (1986), international service warranty card, and repair details.
The Ref. 16550 with an ivory dial and a full complement of accessories is extremely rare, making it a highly recommended collector's item.
This product has been overhauled at our affiliated workshop.

This is a higher-end model of the Explorer, developed from a model for explorers to a model for cave explorers. It places emphasis on durability and functionality, and is equipped with a date function, a crown guard, and a distinctive 24-hour hand.

The movement has evolved from "Cal.1570" to "Cal.3085", which allows the hour hand to move independently. The 24-hour hand now has a GMT function, allowing you to know two time zones.

There are variations in the dial color, and this is a rare cream-colored "ivory dial."
