A Note from the Appraiser

There are some scuffs and scratches from use, but the case and bracelet are solid. The popular silver Big Red dial shows some slight missing lume on the indices, but overall it is in good condition. This is a very popular model with good overall condition, so if you are looking for one, please consider it. It has been overhauled at our affiliated workshop.

*Some of the pipes inside the 12 o'clock side flash fit are missing, but this does not cause any problems during use.

Launched in 1963, the Cosmograph Daytona was designed to meet the needs of professional race car drivers. It is the ultimate practical watch for those passionate about driving and speed. 60 years later, it remains unrivaled among sports chronographs and continues to transcend time.

This "Ref. 6265" is the third generation Daytona, which first appeared around 1971. Its push buttons have been replaced with screw-down screws, its water resistance has been upgraded from 30m to 50m, and it is equipped with the perfected manual-winding chronograph movement, the Cal. 727.

The combination of a silver dial and black subdials creates a nice vintage feel.
