A Note from the Appraiser

There are some scuffs and minor scratches from use, but the case is solid. The bracelet is also in good condition and shows little sign of wear. The Big Red dial is in excellent condition and remains clean, including the subdial. Although the hands, bezel, case, case back, pushers, and bracelet were replaced at a later date, the black/Big Red dial remains in overall excellent condition, so please consider it if you have been looking for one.

※The original serial number is in the 55 series.
※The bracelet currently attached is a replacement, but a period-correct bracelet is also included separately.

The Cosmograph Daytona, born in 1963, was designed to meet the needs of professional racing drivers. As the ultimate practical watch for those passionate about driving and speed, it has remained an unrivaled presence in sports chronographs for 60 years since its birth, continuing to transcend time.

Introduced around 1971 as the third generation Daytona, the "Ref. 6265" featured push-buttons with screw-in screws and an upgraded water resistance of 50 m from 30 m, and was powered by the Cal. 727, the definitive manual-winding chronograph movement.

The combination of a black dial and a white inner dial creates a wonderful vintage atmosphere.
