A Note from the Appraiser

There are some scratches and scuffs from use, but no major flaws and it is in good condition. The early silver dial with two lines and low letters has some luminous indices missing, but there is no noticeable damage and the entire watch, including the subdials, is in excellent condition. This is an early non-Oyster manual-winding Daytona with a very nice appearance, so if you are looking for one, please consider this one.

*If size adjustment is required, it will take some time.

Launched in 1963, the Cosmograph Daytona was designed to meet the needs of professional race car drivers. It is the ultimate practical watch for those passionate about driving and speed. 60 years later, it remains unrivaled among sports chronographs and continues to transcend time.

This model was born in the 1960s after the so-called Pre-Daytona "CHRONOGRAPH Ref. 6238." The movement is based on Valjoux's hand-wound chronograph movement "Cal. 72," with some unique improvements by Rolex.

The bezel is stainless steel, and the dial comes in two types: one with the model name printed on it and one without.
