Girard-Perregaux was born in Geneva, Switzerland. Its roots date back to 1791, when Jean-François Bote made his first watch. Its story is too long to describe, including the fact that it was the first Swiss watch to be officially imported into Japan, that it has a manufacturing system, and that it was the first brand in history to mass-produce wristwatches.
