The first Submariner Date/Ref.1680.
This was manufactured from 1969 to 1975.
The early model with the SUBMARINER logo in red,
It is commonly known as the Red Sub .

The dial is MARK4.
The horizontal bars of the "f" and "t" in the waterproof rating of 660ft are not on the same line.
The dial features an open 6.
The MK4 dial is one of the more common dials among red subs.
However,
It is rare to find one in good dial condition.

This particular watch has a very good dial condition.
The hands will be tritium luminous hands from later years,
This one is also in good condition and well balanced with the index.

The bezel is a fat font MK3 bezel.
It is rare to find an MK3 insert in such good condition!!

As expected, this bezel is a perfect fit for the 70s model!!
It's cool!!

The overall condition is beautiful and can be described as mint condition!!
