It was produced from around 1980 to around 1988.
Second generation Submariner Date/Ref. 16800.
While inheriting the basic design from the first Submariner Date/Ref. 1680,
The windshield has been changed from plastic to sapphire glass.
It also has a unidirectional rotating bezel and a quick-change date function.
This model is now even more practical.
The model we are introducing this time is the early model "borderless" model.
The Ref. 16800 is available in two versions: one with no border around the index, and one with a metal border.
It is divided into early and late periods.
It seems that the transition to the later-style bordered dial began around 1985.
The early model has a matte dial, giving it a more vintage feel!

This is an exquisitely burnt piece with an outstanding vintage aura.
The dial condition is also very good.
And the case is in good condition with sharp edges!

The condition is overall there are small scratches from use,

The clasp code is "G", so it matches the era!
The matte dial, which looks like charcoal gray, has a nicely tanned borderless index.
