A solid gold Day-Just model, “Ref.16018,” has arrived!
This is an early five-digit reference Day-Just manufactured between around 1977 and 1988.
It features a classic 36mm case diameter and a luxurious solid gold case made of 18K yellow gold with a fluted bezel.
The movement was upgraded from the Cal.3035 of the previous Ref.1601 series,
featuring a high-beat movement and a quickset calendar function.
Furthermore, sapphire crystal was adopted, greatly improving its practicality.
It is a model with a captivating presence unique to solid gold and a charming vintage atmosphere.

The piece we are introducing today features a rare “Onyx Dial” with a beautiful jet-black shine!!
Onyx is a natural stone known in Japanese as “Kuro-menou” (black agate),
characterized by its deep jet-black hue and beautiful luster.
While it is a rare stone dial alongside lapis lazuli and others,
onyx has become incredibly popular in recent years,
and it is no exaggeration to say that it is currently one of the most popular stone dials!!
At our store, it is a highly sought-after model that often sells quickly every time it arrives,
making it extremely fast-moving.

While there are onyx dials with diamond hour markers,
the most popular is undoubtedly the dial without markers introduced here!!

Only the gold crown, hands, and lettering stand out against the jet-black dial,
and this unique atmosphere is incredibly cool!!

It also pairs perfectly with the solid yellow gold,
exuding a presence completely different from a standard Day-Just!!

Unlike stones such as lapis lazuli, which allow you to enjoy their stone grain and patterns,
onyx is appealing for its uniform, jet-black beauty.

The marking at the 6 o'clock position is “SWISS” only, making it a so-called “Only Swiss” dial.
The markings vary depending on the era,
and these small details are also an interesting point.
The dial is in excellent condition,
and it is beautifully preserved with no visible cracks!!

This piece is highly recommended as both the case and bracelet are also in excellent condition!!

The mid-case is in the condition shown!!
It is in attractive condition, retaining its original form!

The lug feet are thick, and the edge lines are sharply defined!
The hairline is also in beautiful condition!!

The President bracelet equipped on this piece is also rare!!

The clasp features a “MEX” engraving, making it a so-called “Mexico Bracelet.”
It is a rare bracelet with an unusual specification different from the President bracelets commonly seen, and extremely few are available.

The bracelet is also in good condition with only slight stretching!

The accessories include an International Service Guarantee (stamped June 2026) and a repair statement.
The fact that it has recently undergone a manufacturer overhaul is a major plus!!

Wrist shot!!
When worn on the wrist, the jet-black onyx stands out even more!!
Simple yet incredibly cool!! Its presence is truly irresistible!!

Rolex Day-Just Onyx “Ref.16018 R5”
This is a highly appealing piece with a rare onyx dial that has been growing increasingly popular in recent years!
The fact that it is equipped with an even rarer Mexico President bracelet is also not to be missed!!
Stone dials are becoming rarer year by year, and it is difficult to expect more of these models to arrive in the future!
This piece is in excellent overall condition and is highly recommended!!
Stone dial collectors, please consider this piece.
