Third generation GMT Master solid gold model "Ref.16758"

This is a very cool model produced from around 1980 to around 1988.
The solid gold and combination models were fitted with barnacle index dials until the mid-1980s.

"Barnacles"

The spire-shaped upright indexes found on GMT Masters and Submariners manufactured from the 1960s through to the 1980s.
It is commonly called the "barnacle dial" because it looks like a barnacle on a shell.
Overseas, it is also called "nipple dial."

This particular watch has an outstanding appearance with a dial that has turned dark gray due to fading, and barnacle indexes that are fading in tritium , which match perfectly .

When light hits this dial...
It is an exquisitely changing dial , with a black-gray color and a hint of red.

The hands are also beautifully burnished in the same color as the indexes.

There are small scratches overall from use, but it is in good condition for an item from around 1984.

The third generation GMT-Master was the only solid gold model with sapphire crystal.

*There are very small scratches on the glass at the 10-minute position on the edge line and on the surface, but they do not detract from the atmosphere.

The edges of the case are slightly rounded, but not overly polished, and the lugs are thick and sturdy.

We do not polish the items, so there may be small scratches from use, but no major scratches.

The bracelets that match the age have some wrinkles appropriate for the age, but I don't think you'll notice them when you wear them.

Comes with box, booklet, and chronometer tag.
