The stainless steel Submariner "Ref. 116610LN" weighs approximately 150g, and the solid gold Daytona "Ref. 116509" weighs approximately 205g, so among sports models, this is the second heaviest model after the solid platinum Daytona.
This model is equipped with a regatta chronograph mechanism for yacht racing.
The caliber is equipped with the world's first complex movement, Cal. 4161, which is equipped with a programmed countdown.
The regatta chronograph refers to a countdown function that allows you to instantly measure a countdown from 10 minutes to 1 minute by operating the push buttons at the 2 o'clock and 4 o'clock positions.
When you press the push button at the 2 o'clock position, the red countdown hand will start moving, and as time passes, the countdown hand will approach "0".
This model also features a flyback function that allows you to start the countdown by pressing the push button at 2 o'clock and then pressing the push button at 4 o'clock to instantly return the chronograph hand to the 12 o'clock position and start measuring again.
To briefly explain how to set the countdown time, first rotate the bezel 90 degrees counterclockwise to switch to countdown mode.
* Turn the bezel counterclockwise until it clicks into the 3 o'clock position.
Press the push button at the 4 o'clock position.
The push button will remain pressed.
Open the crown and turn it upwards when viewed from the front to set the countdown time.
The △ countdown hand moves from 0→1→2→3 in 1 minute increments and can be set up to a maximum of 10 minutes.
*When it reaches 10, it will instantly jump to 0.
Once you have decided on the time to measure, screw the crown back in, rotate the bezel 90 degrees clockwise and return it to the starting bezel position to complete the countdown timer setting.
*In the photo, the countdown time is set to 1 minute.
*When the bezel is returned to its original position, the button on the 4 o'clock side will pop out and the watch will return to its original position.
Well!! This has gotten a little long, but that's about it for how to use the countdown function!!
