SOLD OUT!!

The 3rd generation Explorer "Ref.1016" was manufactured from around 1959 to around 1990.
During its long production period, various specifications were changed,
making it a true vintage Explorer.
It's a highly popular vintage model that sells quickly in our store,
and the one that just arrived is an early matte dial/MK1 manufactured around 1968.

The MK1 dial is called "Frog Foot" because the crown logo resembles a frog's foot.
It's a dial characterized by its charming crown logo, unique to vintage models!

Due to its age, many MK1 dials tend to have poor dial conditions,
but this particular watch maintains a relatively clean state.
As you can see, there is no loss of luminous material on the indexes, which is in excellent condition!!

The dial also features tritium that glows green, just like the mirror dial, when irradiated,
which is another attractive point!!
Early matte dials for the 1016 are quite rare to find.

The luminous material is all tritium.
The condition of the hand lume is also good!

The condition shows some minor scuffs and scratches from use,
but there are no major scratches and the condition is good.

The case is solid and has not been overly polished!

The buckle clasp is stamped 66-2.

Equipped with a solid rivet bracelet,
this watch fully exudes a vintage atmosphere!

While the bracelet has some looseness,
the impression it gives when worn is very good, thanks to the rivet bracelet!

Simple, perfectly sized, incredibly cool, and also highly valuable!
This recommended vintage model has it all!
The shortage continues, and prices seem to be gradually rising.

It has a great look. For those looking for a 1016 matte dial with a stronger vintage character among the many available options, this one is highly recommended!

Wrist shot!!
This early matte model offers the great vintage atmosphere.
