Hello!

Kaneko from Commit Ginza will introduce a recommended wristwatch!

Today's watch is a rare model of the second generation Explorer II.

Rolex Explorer II Ivory Pointed Hand All Tritium
Ref.16550 Serial.R8 (manufactured around 1988)
Cal.3085 78360/FF501 Clasp code O3
Accessories: Box, warranty card (domestic authorized dealer, December 1988 stamp)
SOLD OUT!!

The second-generation Explorer II Ref.16550, manufactured from around 1984 to 1988, has arrived!

This model had a short production period of only a few years.
While the "16550" and "16570" have similar designs,
the "16550" is characterized by its large, angular bezel font.

Many people probably like this retro-style bezel.

The dial colors for the "Ref.16550" include black, ivory, and white,
and the one that has arrived this time is the ivory dial, which is considered the rarest.

The ivory color is a deep, rich shade,
like carbonara.

Since there are individual differences in ivory dials, the darker the color, the higher the price.

The chronometer designation refers to a dial called a "center split,"
where the spacing between "SUPERLATIVE CHRONOMETER" on the top line and "OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED" on the bottom line is aligned vertically.

This dial also exists for black dials,
but the ivory x center split dial is a rare dial that many people are looking for.

The silver outer edge of the luminous material on the indexes and the metal frame of the hands are also characteristic features of this model!

The dial condition has only minor scratches that are visible with a loupe,
but overall it is in beautiful condition.

The luminous material is all tritium.
The luminous material on the hands is also in good condition with no cracks!

The second hand has a dot at the tip!!

While the white dial/dot-tipped 16570 is rare,
the dot-tipped 16550 is extremely rare!

Here are two rare shots of an ivory dial with a dot-tipped second hand!!
Honestly, it's very rare to see these two watches side by side.

The watch being introduced is on the right, and the watch on the left is from our stock.

Although there are some scratches from use,
the overall condition of the watch is good and it is highly recommended!

*The glass has a crown engraving.

As you can see, the mid-case has a very good impression.

The edge line is crisp, and the hairline finish is also excellent!

The clasp code for the single buckle is "O3".
The bracelet's authenticity is perfect!

The single bracelet is in top condition with absolutely no stretch.
Surprisingly, few models from this era come with a bracelet in such good condition.

Even Kojoji-kun seemed surprised,
peering at it with a serious gaze (lol).

The accessories include the box, warranty card (domestic authorized dealer, name not erased), chronometer certificate,
international service warranty (November 2007), delivery note, EX booklet, Oyster booklet, and calendar.

The comprehensive accessories are also a big plus.

And now, models with such rich ivory dials are drastically decreasing.
There was a time when they were more common, but before I knew it, they had disappeared from the market.

Wrist shot!!
This Explorer II has a strong presence and is also very stylish.

Rare! Explorer II Ivory "Ref.16550 R8 Series"
This hard-to-find model features an ivory dial and center split!
It's rare to find a 16550/Ivory in such excellent overall condition!
This final R8 series ivory dial comes with abundant accessories, making it highly recommended for collectors!
If you are looking for a 16550/Ivory dial with these conditions,
please consider it!
