The "Ref. 5513" is a long-selling model that was produced for about 27 years.
It underwent various minor changes,
resulting in a model with a wide variety of dial variations.
The gilt-free matte dial was produced from around 1967 to 1983,
and there are many interesting dial variations such as Singer, Stern, Lemrich, and Lollipop.
The model we are introducing today is an early "Meter First" dial,
which is a rare variation among gilt-free dials!

"Meter First"
This is the earliest matte dial produced from around 1967 to 1970, after the transition from the glossy dial to the matte dial to reduce light reflection.
It is characterized by the depth rating at 6 o'clock starting with "200m" and is commonly called "Meter First."

All matte dial Ref. 5513s, except for this dial, are "Feet First."
The aged tritium on this particular watch looks great.
The aging of the hands and hour markers is also well-balanced.

Another attractive feature of this dial is that the luminous material, like that on the glossy dial, is tritium that emits green light when irradiated.
The earliest "Meter First" dials are becoming increasingly rare to see these days.

The dial condition is excellent, clean even under a loupe.

The lume on the hour markers is wonderfully puffy and has changed to a beautiful creamy color.

The "long 5" bezel insert, which matches the age of the watch, is also very cool!
The condition is also superb!

Although there are age-appropriate signs of wear, the watch is in good condition for a vintage model!

As you can see, the middle case is solid!

The lugs are thick and retain their beautiful chamfers!

A riveted bracelet perfectly complements a watch from this era!

The riveted bracelet, with a clasp stamp of '68.2',

is in superb condition with minimal stretch!
This condition for a rare Swiss riveted bracelet is a huge plus!

Wrist Shot!
