Daytona "Ref.16520" with El Primero movement

The 16520 is a popular model with many unique features that appeal to enthusiasts, including the 200 tachy, 225 tachy, porcelain, step/floating, 4-line,
inverted 6 dial, Patrizzi, brown eye, A-serial, and P-serial.

The model we are introducing today is an early Ref.16520/L3 with attractive features.

Compared to a little while ago, the market price for El Primero models in general is clearly on an upward trend.

While it's hard to gauge the market price for early models, which are extremely rare,
they seem to be steadily rising below the surface!

Meanwhile, as these models become increasingly rare on the market,
we recommend that those who are looking for one check it out soon!

First, let's introduce the features unique to early models!

MK2 Bezel "225 Tachy" Bezel

Pay attention to the space between "200" and "300" on the scale.
From the MK3 bezel onwards, the scale changes to only "240", but the
MK2 bezel has two markings: "225" and "250".
This is a very rare early bezel, commonly known as "225 Tachy".

MK2 Dial "4 Line"

This early dial features a 4-line inscription, as "OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED" has been removed from the 5-line inscription.
Like the MK1 dial, this is a rare dial that is not commonly found.
Personally, I really love the cool "E" in the ROLEX logo!

"Inverted 6" Dial

This is an early dial, produced until around the S-serial, where the "6" on the 12-hour sub-dial at 6 o'clock is inverted to look like a "9",
hence it is called "inverted 6" or "reverse 6".

Since this is a characteristic of models up to around the S-serial, MK1 dials/floating and MK2 dials/4-line will always have an "inverted 6".

Single Buckle

The single buckle is also an essential feature of early models.
The clasp code for this individual is "N4," which perfectly matches the era!

Kamakobo Case

The Kamaboko case is also a feature of early models!
Can you tell that early models have a thick case?
The Kamaboko case, with its robust impression, is quite appealing.

*There is a scratch on the edge line below the 5 o'clock side of the case, but it does not particularly detract from the overall appearance.

Although there are minor scratches from use, the case and bracelet are in good condition,
maintaining an overall clean appearance, making this a highly recommended piece.

In particular, the mid-case is thick and in good condition, maintaining its original form.

The lugs are thick, and the edge lines are sharp!
The hairline finish is also in beautiful condition.

This early model with such a sharp case is truly enticing!

The crisp bracelet is in excellent condition with almost no sagging!

It is rare to find an early model with a bracelet in such good condition.

The dial condition is also excellent, maintaining a beautiful state.

The luminous material is all tritium. Early tritium hands are rare!

It has a great face!
The bezel also gives a good impression of not being worn out!

The accessories include the box, domestic warranty card (without name deletion), chronometer certificate, and repair statement (1996).

The outer box comes with a ref seal and a white circle seal!!

Wrist shot! So cool!
The combination of the instantly recognizable 4-line dial and the subtle 225 tachy bezel
is an outstandingly cool and incredibly stylish early El Primero!

MK2 Bezel x MK2 Dial El Primero Early Model "Ref.16520/L3"
This is a rare early model with fantastic rare features and an included warranty card!
The total condition of the dial, bezel, case, and bracelet is also excellent, highly recommended!
While inverted 6 / single tritium models are becoming less common,
when you encounter such an early model with consistent parts, it's your chance!
To customers looking for a rare El Primero Daytona,
please consider this carefully.
