Carolina Bucci is a jewelry designer from Florence, Italy. This is a Royal Oak in Frosted Gold, a limited edition of 300 pieces worldwide, released by Audemars Piguet in collaboration with Carolina Bucci in 2018.
"Frosted Gold" is a process that traces its roots back to an ancient metalworking technique known as the Florentine finish. The gold is finished with a diamond-tipped jig to create intricate patterns on the surface, giving it a shine similar to diamond dust.
The Frosted Gold Royal Oak was first designed by Carolina Bucci in 2016.
Currently, there are several other Royal Oak models in white gold and pink gold in the lineup, but this limited edition model is the only Frosted Gold model made of yellow gold at the moment.
The dial of this model is also unique. Instead of the Royal Oak's trademark "tapestry" dial, it has a beautiful silver-colored mirror dial.
