The first model of the Rolex Sea-Dweller, "Ref.1665," has arrived!
The Sea-Dweller is known for its special mechanism that automatically releases helium gas during saturation diving, the "Helium Gas Escape Valve."
The case back is engraved with the patented trademark "ROLEX PATENT OYSTER GAS ESCAPE VALVE."

The "Ref.1665" is famous for its early models, where "SEA-DWELLER" and "SUBMARINER 2000" are printed in red, commonly known as the "Red Sea-Dweller."
The model we are introducing today has the logo changed to white, commonly known as the "Great White."
Great White dials are classified from MK0 to MK4, and this one is an MK1 dial characterized by the small, non-italicized "ft" in the water resistance notation.

The dial condition is excellent, maintaining a beautiful state even under a loupe.

This is the first time in a while we've had an MK1 dial in such good condition.
The luminous material on the indexes has also aged beautifully.

The luminous material is all tritium.
Although there is some age-related deterioration, the color matches the luminous material on the indexes.

Although there are some scuffs and scratches from use,
the case is thick and has sharp edges, making it a good specimen.

The mid-case is in the condition you see!

The edge lines of the lugs are perfectly defined!!
Such powerful lugs are appealing!

The thick bezel and case of "Ref.1665" are irresistible!!
I love this angle when viewed from the side!
The domed plastic crystal also looks great!

The buckle clasp code is "VE."

The bracelet, which matches the era, is in good condition with almost no noticeable stretch!

The bezel insert is an MK3, which matches the era.
There is a chip on the luminous dot, but the insert itself is in good condition!!
What do you think?
Overall, this is a highly recommended vintage model with a well-balanced look!

Wrist shot!! It has a great presence!!
This vintage Sea-Dweller leaves a very good impression!
The first generation Sea-Dweller "Ref.1665/MK1 '80"
This is a highly recommended piece with a remarkably clean dial and sharp case!!
It's rare to find an MK1 specimen with such a good impression and consistent parts!
To our customers, please consider this vintage Sea-Dweller with its exceptional atmosphere!
