The third-generation Explorer "Ref. 1016" manufactured from around 1959 to around 1990

During the long manufacturing period, various changes were made to the specifications.
It's a vintage Explorer.

The latest arrival is the rare early model with a circle mirror dial.

This particular dial is one of the earliest mirror dials,
A track-shaped minute circle is printed along the outer edge of the dial.
It is called a "chapter ring," "circle mirror," or "MM dial."
This is a mirror dial made up until around 1963.

Even with the same mirror, the look changes just by adding a circle.
When the circle is added, the vintage color becomes stronger,
It's a more classic design!

I have the impression that mirror dials are becoming less common these days.
Among them, the circle mirror is a rare dial that is rarely available in our store.

There are many individual differences in the glossiness of mirror dials.

Furthermore, when it comes to the MM dial,
I get the impression that many of them have lost their luster.
This particular watch has a beautifully glossy and attractive mirror dial.

This is a very cool piece with its shining letters and circles on a jet black mirror!

There are some small scratches, but as an individual manufactured around 1961,
It is maintained in excellent condition.

The index luminous material is in perfect condition with no chips!

This dial is commonly known as "6-dot" It is said that
This is a rare dial with a circular luminous element on the minute circle at 6 o'clock.

When you look at the luminous points together with the bar indexes,
It is also called the exclamation dial because it resembles an exclamation mark .

It is said that this dial was one of the first to use tritium, and has a reduced radium content and uses tritium in addition.

The luminous material is all tritium.
The color of the index and luminous material match perfectly.

The condition is age-appropriate with some small scratches,
