The model we're introducing today features a mirror dial, which existed in models manufactured up until around 1967.
Mirror dials are appealing for their beautiful, mirror-like luster,
and are rare dials with an overwhelmingly small number of existing pieces even among vintage models.

In any case, I've really been feeling the strong demand for the 1016 recently.
It's a best-selling vintage model that tends to sell relatively quickly after it comes in.

The current arrival is a mirror dial, which seems to be becoming increasingly rare.
The jet-black mirror with excellent condition that arrived the other day was also very good,
but the one we're introducing is a tropical dial with wonderful brown aging.

Tropical dials have individual differences in the degree of brown change,
but this mirror dial is a tropical mirror that has changed intensely to brown.
While the 1016 mirror dial itself is rare,
a mirror dial that has undergone such a tropical change is even rarer.

Here's a comparison with our display item, the Ref.1016 jet-black mirror (right).
What do you think?
Can you see the clear difference in color compared to the jet-black dial on the right?

This dial shows wonderful aging that truly screams vintage.
The brown color becomes stronger from the center of the dial towards the right,
but such a change is common with tropical mirrors.

The tropical dial and gold lettering create a cool combination.

The dial has some age-related deterioration,
but the mirror's luster remains intact, showing a golden glow.

The index lume is in good condition!!
There's almost no lume missing, making it in a wonderful state.

The lume is all tritium.
The hands are also aging nicely!
The balance between the hand lume and index lume is well maintained!

While there are signs of use commensurate with its age,
the case maintains a solid, appealing presence.

As you can see, the mid-case has not undergone excessive polishing,
and is in good condition.

A riveted bracelet is an essential feature for models from this era!!

The buckle is stamped 66.2.

The riveted bracelet shows natural slack,
which adds to its vintage charm.

Wrist shot!! Looks so cool!
This is a rare tropical mirror, truly vintage!!

Vintage Explorer "Ref.1016/66"
This is a highly recommended tropical mirror that offers wonderful aging!
We rarely get a tropical mirror with such exquisite aging in stock!!
If you're looking for one, make sure to get it while you can!
For customers looking for an incredibly cool 1016 mirror dial,
please consider this one.
