Second generation GMT Master combination model "Ref.1675/3 Root Beer"
This is the first model of the GMT-Master combination, produced from around 1970 to around 1979.
From the first combination model (brown dial),
The watch features a popular brown and gold two-tone bezel.
This model (brown-gold x brown) is a popular model known as Root Beer.
The Ref.1675/3 is made of 18K gold with an applied crown mark,
The crown mark is printed on the Ref.16753.
The dial of the Ref. 1675/3 is a matte dial (excluding some final dials),
Ref.16753 has a glossy dial.
I have the impression that 1675/3 Root Beer is becoming very scarce these days.
It is rare to find a specimen that is in such good condition and has such great atmosphere.
GMT Master and Submariner models manufactured from the 1960s to the 1980s
Presence of spire-shaped upright indexes.
It is commonly called the "barnacle dial" because it looks like a barnacle on a shell.
Overseas, it is also called "nipple dial."
Furthermore, this particular specimen has a barnacle dial with rare features.
The spacing between the words "SUPERLATIVE CHRONOMETER" on the top line and "OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED" on the bottom line is aligned,
This dial is commonly known as a "center split."
The dial has some scuffs and slight deterioration due to age,
Overall it is in excellent condition.
