We've restocked! If you're looking for it, don't miss it!

The first Submariner with date/Ref.1680.

This was manufactured from 1969 to 1975.
The early model with the SUBMARINER logo in red,
It is commonly known as the Red Sub .

The item we have in stock this time is a rare red Submariner model.
"Meter first."

The 200m marking comes first, commonly known as "meter first"
This is an early model with a matte dial.

The Meter First was produced from 1969 to 1970.
The Red Submariner is classified into meter first models from MK1 to MK3.

This time we will introduce the second dial, "MK2".
The MK2 dial has the characteristic of "660ft" "Open 6" and is not as unique as the MK1,
It is characterized by a “long f” with a long top part.

If you look more closely, you will see that the Submariner notation is
It is a red font with red letters painted over white letters!
This is also a feature of the MK2 dial!

This particular model does not have a chimney-shaped windshield with a cyclops lens, which is unique to the Ref. 1680.
It has a dome windshield.

Perhaps because of this, the index looks strangely large!!

I was a bit curious so I compared it to a different one.

This is a comparison shot with the red sub “MK1 Dial” (left) that we have in stock.
As expected, the indexes on the "MK2 dial" that you introduced look clearly larger.

It felt like a maxi dial.
This time we took some photos and compared it with the 5513 Maxi/Lollipop, which we have in stock at our store.

The MK2 does not have indexes and minute lines attached,
As expected, the dots look larger and the atmosphere is similar!

This is interesting!!

This particular one has a very good dial condition.
It is in excellent condition with no noticeable deterioration.

The index luminous material has changed to a beautiful cream color and there is no sign of dirt or other impurities.
It is maintained in excellent condition.

The hand luminous material is tritium and is in excellent condition with no visible cracks.

The bezel is equipped with a rare MK2 insert!
This insert is also in great condition!

I can't get the long 5!!

The condition is that there are small scratches,
It's in very good condition for a vintage model, with a beautiful overall appearance.

The middle case is in the condition you see!
There is no excessive polish!

Buckle clasp code is 1968 1st period.

The Swiss rivets are in very good condition.

Overall, it is in good condition.

Wrist shot!!
This Red Sub MK2 creates a wonderful atmosphere!!

Vintage Submariner - Representative Model/Red Submariner "MK2"
I have the impression that the early red subs are less common these days than they used to be.

In particular, it is quite hard to find such a beautiful MK2 dial, even if you search hard!
It has a powerful dial, MK2 inserts, Swiss rivets in excellent condition, etc.
This is a recommended initial meter first with many attractive points!
Customers looking for a rare vintage Submariner with a great atmosphere,
Please consider this.
