The first Submariner combination model "Ref. 16803" manufactured from around 1983 to around 1988
This is a short-lived model with a production period of only a few years.
The model we are introducing this time is the final year for the "Ref. 16803"
This is the R number/barnacle index model.
"Barnacles"
The spire-shaped applied indexes found on GMT Masters and Submariners manufactured from the 1960s through to the 1980s.
It is commonly called the "barnacle dial" because it looks like a barnacle on a shell.
Overseas, it is also called "nipple dial."
The barnacle indexes sparkle when light hits them, making them very tasteful and attractive.
Another feature of this model is the applied crown mark at the 12 o'clock position on the barnacle dial!
The gold lettering is also cool.
The dial condition is also excellent.
It is in very good condition even when viewed through a magnifying glass!
The luminous material is all tritium.
The condition of the luminous hands is also good!!
The case and bracelet are in good condition and have signs of wear and tear.
There are no major scratches and the condition is good.
As you can see, the middle case is in excellent condition!
The hairline and edge lines of the lug feet are also perfectly defined!!
What do you think of this lug shape?
It's impressive and cool!
The clasp code of the grooveless x goldless buckle is "M1", which matches the era!
The bracelet is slightly wrinkled, but is relatively sturdy.
Accessories include box, warranty card, serial tag, chronometer tag, calendar (87-88),
It comes with extra frames (full frames).
The fact that this attractive piece from the 1980s comes with a warranty is a nice bonus!!
Finally, a wrist shot!!
This 80's Submariner features attractive sparkling barnacle indexes!
Submariner combination model "Ref.16803/Black pot"
