The third generation Explorer "Ref. 1016" manufactured from around 1959 to around 1990
The one we are introducing today is an R-number 1016, a later model year model.
The R series, which is nearing the end of production, is always a popular item in our store and moves quickly!

The dial is the MK5, featuring a sharp logo. It is a dial that matches the era.

The matte black dial is in excellent condition with no visible scratches or stains.
The condition of the hands and index luminous material is also in very good condition!

The most unique feature of this watch is the "tip dot second hand" with a luminous dot on the outside!!
The second hand is mainly seen on semi-vintage models, but it is also present on the Ref. 1016.

Here is a comparison photo with the same R-numbered model. Pay attention to the second hand at the 12 o'clock position.
On the left is the one with the dot at the tip that we are introducing this time. Can you see that the dot is on the outside?
I wonder if I'm the only one who feels happy when I see this dot-tipped second hand (lol).

Incidentally, this is a rare two-shot of a watch with a dot second hand at the tip!!
It is said that this is mainly seen in the R series of Ref. 1016, but it is extremely rare to find these two together.
The individual we are introducing is the R number on the right!!

The overall condition is good with only minor scratches from use!!

The middle case is also sturdy!

As you can see, the case sides are also in relatively good condition!!
