The third generation Explorer "Ref. 1016" was manufactured from around 1959 to around 1989. This vintage Explorer underwent various specification changes over its long production period. This vintage model is popular for its superb dial design and exquisite 36mm size.
The item we have in stock this time was manufactured around 1974. It's a dial that matches the era and features a sharp logo.
This is a pumpkin watch with strong tanning on the hands and indexes, giving it a wonderful vintage feel!
The condition of the luminous hands is also excellent. The dial is in very good condition even when viewed with a magnifying glass.
The stark contrast between the matte black dial and the burnt indexes is very cool.
The index luminous material is also in good condition with no visible dirt. Well!! This particular one has some small scratches from use, but it is in good overall condition and highly recommended!! As you can see, the middle case is also sturdy!! The lug feet are not overly finished and are in good condition. Buckle clasp code is "VB" The bracelet is slightly wrinkled to a certain extent!
*The flash fit was replaced in later years. Wrist shot!! You look great!
