Artworks on display that make you feel like you're in a museum

Jonas Wood

"Yellow Still Life with Grating 2016"
Gouache and colored pencils on paper 50.8 × 53.3cm

Jonas Wood is a world-renowned artist known for his still-life and landscape paintings using familiar subjects such as family and friends, interiors, plants, and sports. His works are characterized by the way he overlays fragmented images such as sketches, photographs, and magazine clippings on a flat surface, and develops these collages into paintings. In the process, familiar everyday scenes are transformed into distorted flat spaces, creating Jonas Wood 's unique worldview that draws on art history such as Impressionism, Cubism, and Pop Art.

Jonas Wood

Born in the United States in 1977, currently living in LA.
Graduated from the University of Washington in 2002
In 2005, he held his first solo exhibition in Cleveland, and since then has exhibited his work mainly at the Anton Ken Gallery in New York. In 2008, he held a solo exhibition and published "SPORTBOOK," a collection of his representative portraits of athletes, which attracted attention.

Michael Kagan

"Jaws 4" 2019
Oil and silkscreen on linen, 61.0× 50.8cm

Michael Kagan is a Brooklyn-based artist who is also one of the artists in the global spotlight. His representative works depict iconic images of astronauts, rockets, mountain peaks, surfers, and other situations in which humans push beyond their own limits. By weaving together vibrant and muted paint with rhythmic brushstrokes, he creates high-contrast oil paintings that seem to compete between abstract and concrete expression depending on the viewer's perspective.

Michael Kagan

Michael Kagan was born in Virginia in 1980. He graduated from George Washington University in 2003 and received his MFA from the New York Academy of Art in 2005, where he also served as a postgraduate research fellow. He currently lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.

What are beautifully colored watches that go perfectly with artwork?

When you think of colorful watches, you probably think of the dial color. Rolex , in particular, offers a wide variety of dial colors. Among them, the "blue dial" and "brown dial" are extremely popular, and have a presence that is not inferior to gorgeous works of art. Take a look at these two models that are beautiful to look at, which are accompanied by works by Jonas Wood !

①Rolex GMT Master II SS/18KYG "Ref.16713" Serial.Y (around 2002)

Be enchanted by the painting-like gradation of colors

The first one is the successor to the original GMT-Master II, the Ref. 16713. Compared to the previous model, the water resistance has been upgraded from 50m to 100m, and it comes in two patterns: an Oyster bracelet and a Jubilee bracelet. In addition to the combination of a brown gold bezel and a brown dial, the design is characterized by a beautiful fusion of the gorgeousness of the yellow Rolesor. This combination of patterns is attractive for its sophisticated coloring that cannot be found in other sports models.

②Rolex Submariner SS/18KYG "Ref.16613" Serial.Y (around 2002)

Beautiful blue x gold golden ratio

The second watch is the blue Submariner "Ref. 16613". The combination of the blue dial and bezel with yellow Rolesor gives it a mysterious beauty that seems to represent the golden ratio. Introduced in 1989, this model has the same high functionality as the stainless steel model, but also uses lustrous 18K yellow gold for the bezel, crown, and bracelet, adding a luxurious feel. Production of this model ended in 2009 with the announcement of its successor, the "Ref. 116613LN/LB", but the sharp case and indexes match the unique glamour of the combination, and it still boasts enduring popularity.
