The year 1975 marked the end of the space race when the American Apollo and the Soviet Soyuz successfully docked in space. 35 years later, in 2010, this Ref. 311.30.42.30.99.001 was released in a limited run of 1,975 pieces. The greatest attraction is the dial made of meteorite, and the two-tone dark gray and silver is simply beautiful. The Ref. 310.63.42.50.10.001, announced as a new product in 2022, features a beautiful Moonshine Gold x Green coloring. Moonshine Gold is a material developed by Omega in 2019, inspired by the light of the moon shining in the dark blue sky, and is made by adding 18KYG (yellow gold) to silver, copper, and palladium. It has a pale color that is not too assertive, and is also resistant to changes over time. The bezel and dial are made of deep dark green, giving it a calm impression. The Ref. 311.63.40.30.02.001 is a reprint of the 2nd model of the Speedmaster, Ref. CK2998 (introduced in 1959). The Ref. CK2998 was worn by astronaut Walter Schirra in 1962 and is widely known as the first Omega to go into space. The watch we are introducing this time is a limited edition model released in 2015, and it is a watch that revives the attractive Moonwatch of the time with the contrast between the brown color and silver opaline, the alpha hands, and the seahorse emblem on the case back.
