CHAPTER-1

NAME & WATCH

Worn by Akkin

Rolex Explorer I [Ref.1016][Ref.1016]

The watch that Akkin purchased was the Rolex Explorer I "Ref. 1016" with a matte dial.

This is a long-selling model that was manufactured from 1963 to around 1990, and several detail changes were made during its 20-year production period. This particular model is a later model with an added hacking function, and is equipped with the "Cal. 1570," which is said to be the masterpiece of Rolex movements.

COMMENTS

Thank you for your purchase, Akkin-san! And thank you again for appearing in this [Enthusiast Series]! You said you were looking for a vintage model that would be easy to wear on a daily basis, and this Explorer I "Ref. 1016" is just perfect! In addition to its versatile design, it also suits your jacket style! I was surprised that you now own more than last time. (laughs) Once again, thank you very much!

CHAPTER-2

NAME & WATCH

Worn by Norisuke1977

Rolex Daytona [Ref.16528][Ref.16528]

The watch that Norisuke1977 purchased was the solid gold Rolex Daytona Ref. 16528 model equipped with an El Primero movement.

This model was produced from the R series (around 1988) to the P series (around 2000), and is said to be the last chronograph in which Rolex used a movement from another manufacturer. It is less common than the SS (stainless steel) model, but it is a gorgeous and highly popular watch.

COMMENTS

Thank you for your purchase, Norisuke1977. The champagne dial of this solid gold Daytona really suits your funky style! Personally, I think the combination of the black sub-dial and champagne is very cool! Satoda, who was in charge of the order, said, "He is a very cheerful person, and he was happy to accept this enthusiast series," and it seems he had a lot of fun! Next, he is aiming for a pumpkin Sea-Dweller, and all of our staff will do our best to support him, so we hope you will consult with Commit Ginza and Satoda. If you are able to purchase it, we look forward to seeing you again! Once again, thank you very much!
