Part 1 | Ginza Street Interview
This is a very popular project where we interview people in Ginza who wear watches, introduce their watches, when they wear them, what watch they want next, etc. We have also made a column based on the video posted on YouTube, so we hope you will take a look at that as well.
This is a collaborative project with Commit Ginza's official YouTube channel [Commit TV]! Please be sure to check out Commit TV as well!

SOME QUESTIONS
Q.What are you doing in Ginza today?
- To please his wife (laughs)
Q.What watch are you wearing?
- [Rolex][Rolex][Rolex][Rolex][Rolex] "Yacht-Master II" "Ref. 116680"
It was released in 2007 as a model specialized for yacht racing. It is equipped with the world's first programmable countdown function with mechanical memory, the "Regatta Chronograph." In 2017, a minor change was made to the watch, with the blue hour and minute hands replaced with Mercedes hands, the 12 o'clock index changed from a square to an inverted triangle, and the 6 o'clock index changed from a square to a rectangle. In addition, The movement, Cal. 4161, is based on the Cal. 4130 used in the Daytona Ref. 116500LN and was developed over a period of four years, with improvements being made to the countdown mechanism and ease of maintenance.
NEXT WATCH (The next watch you want)
[Patek Philippe] "Nautilus Travel Time Chronograph" "Ref. 5990/1A-001"
STAFF COMMENTS
Thank you very much for your cooperation in this interview, Mr. Sato! I was really impressed by how you wore the voluminous 44mm Yacht-Master II as if it were part of your outfit. I heard that you own five other luxury watches, so I would love to hear more about them.
And as for the Patek Philippe Nautilus Travel Time Chronograph, which you said you're aiming for next, we're sure you'll be able to pick it up. We're looking forward to adding it to your collection. If you do purchase one, please stop by Commit Ginza!
CHAPTER-3
NAME
Dear K,
SOME QUESTIONS
Q.What watch are you wearing?
- [Rolex][Rolex] "Submariner" "Ref.16610"
This is a long-selling model manufactured from 1988 to 2010, and its well-balanced size of 40mm case diameter and 12.5mm thickness is its appeal. The aluminum bezel has a moderate shine, but the more you use it, the more it will develop its own character and become comfortable on your wrist. At the heart of the watch is the Cal.3135, which has a high accuracy of +2 to -2 seconds per day and a power reserve of about 48 hours. It is also highly durable thanks to its 300m water resistance and sapphire crystal windshield.
STAFF COMMENTS
Thank you, Mr. K, for appearing on YouTube. I'm really impressed that you're still using the Submariner you bought about 20 years ago! As someone involved with watches, I was very touched. However, I heard that the selling price at the time was 480,000 yen, and I couldn't help but think, "If only I had bought it back then..." (laughs) I hope you will continue to use it for a long time to come, and of course we're also happy to consult you about maintenance, so please feel free to contact us if you have any questions!

Thank you, Mr. K, for appearing on our YouTube channel. When I saw the beautifully shining watch on your wrist, I couldn't help but speak to you.
