Good evening everyone.
Today we have a special item in stock, the World Time Cloisonné, so we would like to introduce it to you for the first time in a while. Please read to the end!!
"Ref.5131/1P-001"
"World Time Cloisonné" PT
The Ref. 5131/1P-001 was released in 2017 as the final model in the modern World Time Cloisonné Ref. 5131 series.
This special edition, featuring a platinum case and the only platinum bracelet in the series, is truly worthy of being the grand finale. Here, we would like to talk about other material models in the "Ref. 5131" series.
First, there is the "Ref. 5131J-001," which first appeared in 2008 as a modern version of the "World Time Cloisonné."
In the center of the dial, Europe, Africa, and North and South America are depicted using the cloisonné technique, with the Atlantic Ocean at the center. The world map, created using the sophisticated technique of dividing the frame with gold wire enamel and pouring colored vitreous enamel into it before firing, is truly a work of art. I still remember being captivated by its overwhelming beauty the first time I saw it.
The following year, in 2009, the Ref. 5131G-001 with an 18KWG (white gold) case was released.
The vibrant blue-based cloisonné dial depicts the Eurasian, African, and Oceanian continents. If you look closely, you can even make out Japan, a delight for watch enthusiasts.
Next came the 2015 release of the Ref. 5131R-001, with an 18KRG (rose gold) case.
The dial depicts the Pacific Ocean, Asia, Oceania, and the Americas. One of the attractions of this model is that you can clearly see Japan, but the color scheme is also the most well-balanced, making it one of the most refined designs in the series.
And now we will introduce the "Ref. 5131/1P-001" with a platinum case and bracelet.
The dial depicts the North Pole and the northern regions of North America and Eurasia. When I first saw it, the colors seemed a little subdued compared to previous models, but the fact that it was the last model in the series to be made of platinum and that it was the only one to be released with a bracelet was a big surprise.
The "Ref. 5231J-001" was released in 2019.
The tradition of the World Time Cloisonné has been carried on to the current model, with the Atlantic Ocean at the center of the dial, with Europe and Africa on the right and North and South America on the left. We have a history of handling this watch, and its beautiful cloisonné dial is truly exceptional, with a truly captivating finish.
Then, the "Ref. 5231G-001" was released with an 18KWG case.
The dial depicts the Pacific Ocean, Southeast Asia, and Oceania, with a simple color scheme and a beautiful, calming finish. Currently, this is the only remaining World Time model with a cloisonné dial. With very few remaining on the market, it boasts such popularity and rarity that it sells out quickly once it arrives.
Now that we've covered that, let's return to the topic of "Ref. 5131/1P-001."
The dial is primarily white, reflecting the snow-covered Arctic, northern America, and Eurasia. Compared to previous colorful dials, it gives off a more subdued impression. Looking closely with a magnifying glass, one is once again struck by the exquisite quality. This is a truly tasteful dial, embodied in the skill of a skilled craftsman. It is said that cloisonné dials are prone to unevenness in the finish during the manufacturing process, and many are rejected, but when you see this level of perfection, it's easy to see why.
The bracelet is heavier than it looks, but it is finished to fit comfortably on the wrist, giving it a unique elegance. Furthermore, the diamond at the 6 o'clock position on the case, which is a mark of the watch's unique character, can be clearly seen, further enhancing the sense of exclusivity.
The sapphire glass skeleton back allows you to see the highly reliable "Cal. 240 HU" movement, which has been passed down from the modern version of the "World Time" "Ref. 5110" to the current model.
The warranty is dated June 2018. The case and bracelet show signs of wear and tear, but they appear to have not been polished, making for a solid, well-made watch. It also comes with a full complement of accessories, including booklets, a pass case, a box, and even spare links.
The selling price is 22,220,000 yen (tax included)
