hello everyone.
Before we knew it, August will be over this week. The weather got a little worse over the weekend, and the temperature dropped a little, but how was your day? September is next week, and there are only four months left of 2020. Time really flies by. I will once again tighten my resolve to continue providing useful information about watches to our customers throughout the year so that I will have no regrets.
Well, this time I would like to write a little about double names, which I also wrote about in a previous blog, focusing on "Tiffany & Co."
When you hear about a double-name model, I think everyone feels a sense of excitement. Especially if the watch you want (want to wear) is a Patek Philippe model with a double name "Tiffany & Co." ... Just imagining it makes you salivate at the feeling of excitement and superiority that comes with being differentiated, right? (laughs)
Today's article will be one that will immerse you in that sense of elation and superiority, so I hope you'll read until the end.
The relationship between Patek Philippe and Tiffany & Co.
When it comes to "Tiffany & Co." , I think it is well-known as a brand founded in the United States and famous for its silver products.
The history between Tiffany & Co. and Patek Philippe is very deep, and Patek Philippe watches have been handled and sold in Tiffany & Co. boutiques (stores) from 1851 to the present day.
Many famous models, including the well-known Nautilus and Aquanaut, as well as the Calatrava, Gondolo, Annual Calendar, and Perpetual Calendar, are sold at limited Tiffany & Co. boutiques in the United States, and all of these watches have "Tiffany & Co." printed on the dial.
Compared to regular models, double-name models are priced higher, and double-name models that are combined with popular or rare models are traded at astonishingly high prices.
Popular model with double name
We have seen many double-name watches, including the Nautilus and Aquanaut, which are now extremely popular and have skyrocketing prices. Commit Ginza has also sold the popular SS (stainless steel) models Ref. 5167A/1A and Ref. 5167A.

Now that I think about it, I should have gotten it myself!! I have some regrets, but the customer was happy to buy it, so I'm happy with it (lol).
There are many other examples that could be mentioned, but the extremely popular "Nautilus" stainless steel case model "Ref. 5711/1A" (unused) with the double name "Tiffany & Co." was traded for an astonishing 2.5 million yen a few years ago.

Also, at the time, the 18KWG (white gold) case "3711/1G" was also selling for around 3.5 million yen at a long-established pawn shop...

Nowadays, even the regular model (SS model) is usually priced at over 10 million yen, so you might be wondering how much the 18KWG (white gold) version is worth!
Rare model with "Tiffany & Co." engraved on the side of the case
Another unique model is the 18KYG (yellow gold) and PT (platinum) case versions of the World Time "Ref. 5110" that was revived in 2000. The Aquanaut "Ref. 5066".
Both models have the letters "Tiffany & Co." engraved on the side of the case, making them extremely rare. It was rare at the time, but it's hard to imagine it being that rare now.
150th Anniversary Limited Edition
In 2001, to celebrate the 150th anniversary of our partnership with Tiffany & Co., we released the T150 Ref. 5150, a hunter case watch with an annual calendar.

This model is not just a double name, but was made for Tiffany & Co. I used to see this model on sale, but I rarely see it anymore.
2008: The Patek Philippe Salon opens at the Tiffany & Co. New York flagship store
In 2008, the first Patek Philippe salon in the United States opened in the Tiffany & Co. flagship store on New York's 5th Avenue. Five years later, in 2013, to commemorate the fifth anniversary, a special Tiffany & Co. edition of the annual calendar Ref. 5396G was released in a limited run of 100 pieces.
The black dial has Breguet numerals and luminous leaf hands. And to top it off, the words "Tiffany & Co." are printed on the moon phase at 6 o'clock. The case back is also engraved with "Patek Philippe ・A Shared Vision ・2008-2013 ・Tiffany & Co." , which is fitting for a limited edition model celebrating the 5th anniversary. It is rarely seen on the market, and I think it has a market value of about 15 million yen today.
New Introduction
Finally, I would like to introduce our new model.
This is a double-name Gondolo "Ref. 5124G-001" with a beautiful rose (salmon pink) dial.
The recognizable "Tiffany & Co." letters are printed above the small second hand at the 6 o'clock position, and the warranty card is stamped with a stamp indicating that it was sold at Tiffany & Co. 's New York salon.
Of course, the double name is recommended, but this watch also comes with a genuine Patek Philippe folding buckle, making it a doubly recommended watch.

summary
This time, we focused on the double name "Tiffany & Co." What did you think? No matter which model you look at, the only thing that comes to mind is "cool". (laughs)
These are models that are hard to find on the market, but if you do come across them, we hope you will try them on and consider purchasing them.
In addition, there are many models that we have never handled at Commit Ginza, so if you have one, please come and show it off. (laughs)
