Good evening everyone.

We would like to thank everyone who visited our store during Commit Ginza's big event "CTG" (Customer Return Festival), which was held until the end of March, and everyone who made a transaction even if they could not come to the store. We also had many people participate in the "YouTube LIVE" that was held every day during the period, and we believe that it was an event that everyone enjoyed. We would like to express our gratitude once again.

Well, today, we would like to introduce the second "Perpetual Calendar Chronograph" "Ref. 5271P-001" that we have received in our store in the rare "single shield" condition! Please read to the end!

"Ref.5271P-001"
"Perpetual Calendar Chronograph" PT

The Perpetual Calendar Chronograph "Ref. 5271P-001" was released in 2014 with a luxurious design, featuring 58 baguette-cut diamonds on the bezel and lugs of the PT (platinum) case and 22 baguette-cut diamonds on the folding buckle.

The basic dial design is based on that of the third-generation model of the "Perpetual Calendar Chronograph" "Ref. 5270" that was released in 2011, and features a diamond set in the hour marker at the 12 o'clock position.

Before we get into the main topic, let's briefly talk about the "Ref. 5270".

*The photo is "Ref.5270P-001"

When the Ref.5270 was first released, it was only available in 18KWG (white gold), but in 2015, a 18KRG (rose gold) model was released, and in 2018, a PT (platinum) model was released. The Ref.5270 usually uses bar indexes, but the PT (platinum) Ref.5270P-001 is the only model with a distinctive dial that uses Arabic numerals applied indexes from 10 o'clock to 2 o'clock. In addition, the color of this model, which is called "copper" or "copper", is also a unique point.

After that, the new model announced for 2022 was the "Ref. 5270P-014" with a PT (platinum) case and a lacquered green dial. The dial attracted attention for its simple design but beautiful green color.

So far, we have focused on the platinum (PT) "Ref. 5270," but there is a reason for that. The predecessor "Ref. 5970" and its predecessor "Ref. 3970" both had black dials in their platinum (PT) cases, but the truth is that there has never been a model with a black dial in the platinum (PT) case of the "Ref. 5270."

Considering its history, you can probably understand just how rare the "Ref. 5271P-001" we are introducing this time is.

Now that we've explained the rarity of the "Ref. 5271P-001," let's get back to the main topic.

The luxurious black lacquered dial features white lettering and scales for high visibility. In addition to the perpetual calendar and chronograph, the watch also features bar indexes, leaf-shaped hour and minute hands, and a tachymeter scale on the outer edge of the dial, creating a beautifully balanced finish.

The 58 baguette-cut diamonds set in the bezel and lugs are so beautiful that you can't help but be drawn in when you look at it. It's captivating from every angle.

What's even more special is that the "folding buckle" is also decorated with 22 baguette-cut diamonds. How much does just the buckle cost? (laughs)
By the way, when I looked at the warranty card, it said that there are 80 diamonds (4.84 carats) set throughout the watch.

The previous "Perpetual Calendar Chronograph" was equipped with the Lemania-based movement "Cal. CH 27-70 Q", but the "Ref. 5270" was changed to the fully in-house movement "Cal. CH 29-535 PS Q", and the "Ref. 5271P" is also equipped with the same movement. The calendar display window under the 12 o'clock position on the dial has been enlarged, the leap year display window is at the 5 o'clock position, and the day/night display window is at the 8 o'clock position, making the dial design easier to understand.

As you may have already noticed, this item is in what is called a "single shield" condition, meaning that it has never been opened from the plastic packaging it was delivered in. Such rare items are almost impossible to come across, and I have only seen them at overseas auctions.

The warranty date is January 2019. The accessories are also in very good condition, with the adjustment pins and closed case back still unopened. The watch is also delivered in a paper sleeve (the vertical box in the upper right of the photo), making it a perfect collection piece.
*The serial/movement numbers have been erased.

The selling price is 47,850,000 yen (tax included)

This is the second one we have in stock, and it's such a rare model that we have no idea when we'll be able to get it in the future. It's a miracle that it's available as a "single shield" guitar! Also, the warranty date is 2019, so it's a high model year, so we highly recommend it!

summary

What did you think.

It is unlikely that an item like this, which could even become an auction piece, will come along very often in the future, and it is a wonderful item that can be stored for a long time without being used, or can be opened and enjoyed by wearing it!! If you have been looking for one, please contact us as soon as possible!!

We hope to continue providing you with as much useful information as possible, so please look forward to the next Patek discussion.

see you!
