Good evening everyone.
This is completely off topic, but the team finally won the WBC after 14 years! It was truly amazing! I'm sure many people were surprised and moved, encouraged, and thought, "I'll do my best too!" The next tournament will be in 2026, and I'm already excited to see what kind of tournament it will be!
Now, our store is holding a customer rebate festival (CTG) several times a year. We hope that you will take advantage of this opportunity to buy and sell watches at a discount, and to make the event just as exciting as the WBC, we are also streaming our regular YouTube live broadcasts every day! Please be sure to check them out!
That was a long introduction, but this time, following on from the last time, we have a rare double-name model of the popular "Nautilus" in stock, so we would like to introduce it to you. Please read to the end!
"Ref.5712G-001"
"Nautilus Petite Complication TIFFANY & CO." 18KWG
In 2006, to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Nautilus , the Nautilus Petite Complication "Ref. 5712G-001" was released with an 18KWG (white gold) case and alligator strap.
This is a long-selling model that has been on the market for about 17 years , and we have sold more than 10 of them in our store . However, this is the first time we have handled the double-name model with Tiffany & Co. that we are introducing today. The Nautilus is rare, as it is not widely distributed on the market, and we are handling it for the first time.
Before we get into the main topic, let's talk a little about the relationship between Patek Philippe and Tiffany & Co.
Tiffany & Co. boutiques in the United States have been selling Patek Philippe watches since 1851. Although it may not be widely known, Tiffany & Co. is in fact the oldest retailer of Patek Philippe in the United States.
*Currently, the double-name model is only sold at TIFFANY & CO. boutiques in New York, Beverly Hills, and San Francisco.
In 2001, to celebrate the 150th anniversary of their partnership, they released the T150 Ref.5150, a hunter case watch with an annual calendar. In 2008, they opened the first Patek Philippe salon in the United States at the Tiffany & Co. flagship store on New York's 5th Avenue, and in 2013, they released a special edition of the Annual Calendar Ref.5396G, limited to 100 pieces, to commemorate their 5th anniversary. From these points, you can see that the relationship between the two companies is special.
Before we get back to the main topic, we would like to introduce the double-name model of [Patek Philippe] "Nautilus" x [TIFFANY & CO.] that we have been handling in our store.
"Ref.5712/1A-001"
"Nautilus Petit Complication TIFFANY & CO." SS
"Ref.5980/1A-001"
"Nautilus Chronograph TIFFANY & CO." SS
"Ref.5980/1R-001"
"Nautilus Chronograph TIFFANY & CO." 18KRG
What do you think? At first glance, you may wonder where the words "TIFANNY & CO." are located, but if you look closely, you will see that the atmosphere is slightly different from the normal model. It is likely that the size was kept modest so as not to spoil the original atmosphere of [Patek Philippe]. This also shows the mutual trust and respect between the two companies.
Let's get back to the main topic here.
The "Ref. 5712G-001" we are introducing this time has a slate (gray) dial, a small second hand between 4 and 5 o'clock, a moon phase between 7 and 8 o'clock, a date hand display around the outer periphery, and a power reserve display between 10 and 11 o'clock, making for an exquisite design with nothing wasted space.
As I mentioned earlier, this watch is no exception, with the words “TIFFANY & CO.” printed in just the right size at the bottom of the dial between 5 and 6 o’clock.
Another important thing about double-name models is the contents of the warranty. Generally, the retailer's stamp is stamped (printed), but it is very important to see whether or not it says "TIFFANY & CO."
The movement seen through the sapphire crystal skeleton case back is the "Cal.240 PS +IRM +C +LU", based on the ultra-thin automatic movement "Cal.240" equipped with a micro-rotor released in 1977. Although it is equipped with a petite complication mechanism, the case diameter is kept to 40mm and the case thickness to just 8.52mm, so there is no stress when wearing it, which can be described as "excellent".
The warranty date is July 2015. There are some small scratches and inconspicuous marks from use, but the case and buckle appear to have not been polished and are in good condition.
The selling price is 19,800,000 yen (tax included)
