Good evening everyone.

Today, on Tuesday, October 18th, additional new models were announced by Patek Philippe , so I would like to pick out and introduce the models that I am particularly interested in.

On the morning of the announcement, I was just talking to a customer about how "It seems that a new model is going to be announced! And it's a Nautilus...", so I was very surprised! The new models announced in the spring have not yet been delivered, so when will the models announced this time appear on the market? I can't wait. So let's take a look.

"Ref.5811/1G-001"
"Nautilus" 18KWG

Many people will still vividly remember the announcement last year of the end of production of the popular Ref. 5711/1A-010 model with a stainless steel case and three hands, which was released to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Nautilus, and the resulting outrageous sales prices on the secondary market.

When the model was discontinued, there were rumors that a new model would be released with the size increased to 41mm, but this was a complete disappointment. However, as most people expected, the case diameter was increased from 40mm to 41mm, although the timing was delayed.

What surprised me even more was that the case structure was changed from three pieces to two pieces as a tribute to the original model released in 1976. This change in specifications (which went back to the original) resulted in the case diameter increasing by 1 mm and the thickness decreasing by 1 mm. I'm very curious to know how it feels to wear.

I'm also very intrigued by the new patented lockable "fold-over buckle with adjustment system."

As far as the official website is concerned, the movement is the Cal. 26-330 SC, which was also installed in the Ref. 5711/1A-010 from 2019 onwards. This movement is also installed in the automatic Calatrava Ref. 5226G-001, which was announced as a new model in early spring, and is likely to become the mainstream of models equipped with automatic movements with date displays in the future.

The new Nautilus is deliberately not in a stainless steel case, but in an 18K white gold case. I think Patek Philippe has some intention behind it, but the combination of the black gradient blue sunburst dial makes it look cool, and there will definitely be a fierce battle to get it. I can't wait to see the real thing.

"Ref.5712/1R-001"
"Nautilus Petite Complication" 18KRG

The long-selling model "Ref. 5712/1A-001" was released to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Nautilus. This time, a new 18KRG (rose gold) case and bracelet version has been released.

The dial is a brown sunburst dial with a black gradient to match the case material. It's Patek Philippe's "hateful" move to change the color from the "Ref. 5712R-001" with a leather strap. (laughs)

The movement is the same "Cal.240 PS IRM C LU" as previous Nautilus models equipped with petite complications.

This product also features the patented lockable "fold-over buckle with adjustment system."

When you actually see the watch, you'll be sure it's gorgeous and cool! I think it's a "dark horse" among the new Nautilus models.

"Ref.5990/1A-011"
"Nautilus Travel Time Chronograph" SS

The "Ref. 5990/1A-001" with a black gradient dial and stainless steel case disappeared from the website when the new model was announced in spring 2022 and production was discontinued. Since it is a 2014 model, there was no question about its discontinuation given its production period, but I never expected it to make a comeback so soon, especially with a black gradient blue sunburst dial.

Needless to say, this is definitely a "cool" model. Although the only thing that has changed is the color of the dial, it feels so fresh that I wonder if the overall impression can change that much.

This also features a patented lockable "foldable buckle with adjustment system."

The "luxury sports model" "Ref. 5990/1A-011" has a more luxurious feel in every detail. To be honest, it's hard to choose a favorite among the three new Nautilus models announced this time.

"Ref.5935A-001"
"World Time Flyback Chronograph" SS

Of the new models, the one that caught my eye first was the World Time Flyback Chronograph "Ref. 5935A-001," due in part to the color of the dial.

If you look closely, you will see that the center of the dial is a carbon motif, which is a very intricate design. This design is similar to the one used in the Calatrava "Ref. 6007A-001," which was released in 2019 as a limited edition of 1,000 pieces to commemorate the completion of the new factory.

The official website says that the dial is rose gold plated opaline, so I assumed the case would be PT (platinum) or 18KWG (white gold), but it's actually SS (stainless steel).

Furthermore, instead of the 39.5mm case diameter used in previous World Time Flyback Chronograph models, it now comes in at 41mm.

The leather strap is beige calfskin with a nubuck finish, which is honestly a model that is too full for my liking.
I'd like to see the actual machine soon too.

"Ref.5204G-001"
"Perpetual Calendar Split Second Chronograph" 18KWG

Several attractive new models were announced this time, but the one I like best is the Perpetual Calendar Split Second Chronograph "Ref. 5204G-001."

For me, the Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar Split Second Chronograph is a very special model. It is simply the ultimate watch that I want to own someday.

The most notable feature of this new model is the black gradation olive green sunburst dial. Furthermore, this is the first model to feature an 18KWG (white gold) case.

The leather strap is olive green calfskin with white hand stitching, a very stylish choice for advanced users.

When I had only seen images of the Ref. 5204, I wondered what it was like in person, but now they are selling a silver dial with a PT (platinum) case, a black dial, and a black dial with an 18KRG (rose gold) case and bracelet, and they all look so cool, it may sound exaggerated, but when you hold one in your hand, you'll feel like you're standing up straighter.

The "Ref. 5204" itself is not a model that you can easily come across, but I think it is an exceptional model that will make you seriously think, "I want to see the real thing!"

summary

What did you think.

This time, I have picked out and introduced some models that particularly caught my eye from the new Fall/Winter 2022 models, including the much-talked-about new Nautilus.

It will probably be a while before we have a chance to see the new model in person, but we will patiently wait for that day to come. If any of our customers are lucky enough to get one, please come and show it off at Commit Ginza! (laughs)

Although the mornings and evenings can be quite chilly, the days are comfortable and there will likely be more days for going out. Our store is currently holding the " CTG*Commit ThanksGiving " event several times a year, so please take this opportunity to come and visit us. We look forward to meeting as many customers as possible!

see you!
