A Note from the Appraiser

There are some scuffs and scratches from use, but this is an excellent example with sharp edges on both the case and bezel, showing no signs of excessive polishing. The champagne dial has some age-related discoloration, but this actually creates a pleasant, vintage aesthetic. The tritium luminous material is also well-preserved. While there are no accessories, the attractive price makes this an ideal opportunity for those looking for such a piece. This watch has been overhauled at our partnered workshop.

Product Background

When it was released in 1956, it was the world's first wristwatch to display the date and the day of the week in full. It is Rolex's top-of-the-line model, available only in rare materials such as gold and platinum. The bracelet that comes with it is called the "President Bracelet" after it was presented to the then US President Eisenhower.

Model features

The Ref.18248 is equipped with Rolex's in-house movement "Cal.3155", which allows quick change of date and day of the week and time adjustment. It also has a function called hack function that stops the second hand when the crown is pulled out.

Product design

The 18K yellow gold case and champagne dial are beautiful, and the combination with the Bark specification is very rare.
