Product Background

In the 1940s, with the cooperation of the Italian Navy, Panerai designed the Luminor to be equipped by the Special Submarine Forces. This model was developed to meet the demands of special forces for underwater missions, where an error of a few seconds is key to the success of an operation, and therefore requires high visibility and accuracy.

Model features

This is a practical model equipped with a long power reserve of 8 days (192 hours), a GMT mechanism, a one-push chronograph, and a 24-hour display (Day & Night).

Product design

Designed as a homage to the models of the 1950s, the Luminor 1950 is a powerful model with an emphasis on the thickness and roundness of the case, compared to the modern and sharp Luminor Marina.
