Patek Philippe commercialized the world's first world time mechanism in the 1930s, and has continued to evolve since then. Originally, in response to demand for the convenience of being able to check the time in any country in the world at a glance as air travel networks developed, the mechanism was created as a combination of a 24-hour ring and city name discs, rather than the traditional GMT display.

The beautiful blue dial is decorated with guilloche engraving, and its most distinctive feature is the apple hand used in the original world time watch designed by Louis Cottier.

The "5130P-020 Blue" is an evolution of its predecessor, the 5110 model, with a case diameter enlarged from 37mm to 39.5mm, further improving visibility and presence.
