A Note from the Appraiser

This item has been overhauled and the dial and hands replaced by the manufacturer.
The yellow shell dial has been changed to a rare dial with teardrop-shaped diamond indexes at 6 and 9 o'clock and applied Arabic indexes at every 5 minutes.
The original dial is also included as an accessory, and it is a blue dial, which is a rare color.
Although there are some scratches and scuffs due to use, the overall impression of the case and bracelet is good, so this is a good piece that has not been finished on the exterior.

Product Background

Since its introduction in 1956, the Day-Date has established a reputation as Rolex's top-line watch.
This is Rolex's top-of-the-line model, available only in rare materials such as gold and platinum.
The bracelet is called the "President's Bracelet" after it was sent to the then US President Eisenhower.

Model features

The movement has been improved from "Cal.3055" to "Cal.3155", and stability and maintainability have been improved by adopting a twin bridge system that supports the balance on both sides instead of the single bridge system that supports it on one side.

Product design

The dial is made of yellow shell and 2P teardrop diamonds, and combined with 18K yellow gold, it is a piece with a luxurious feel.
