A Note from the Appraiser

There are scuffs and minor scratches from use, but both the case and bracelet are in good, solid condition. The black big red dial has luminous corrections at the 3 and 6 o'clock positions, but the other luminous markers are well-preserved, and the dial is generally clean.
It currently has a replacement plastic bezel, but a stainless steel bezel from the correct era is also included, making this an attractive and recommended product. It was overhauled in November 2025 at our affiliated workshop.

*An additional 557B/78350/S1 Oyster bracelet (12 links, missing 1) is included.
*A warranty card is included, but we cannot guarantee that it is the original.

The Cosmograph Daytona, launched in 1963, was designed to meet the needs of professional race car drivers. As the ultimate practical watch for those passionate about driving and speed, it remains unparalleled among sports chronographs and continues to transcend time 60 years later.

This "Ref. 6265" is the third generation Daytona, which first appeared around 1971. Its push buttons have been replaced with screw-down screws, its water resistance has been upgraded from 30m to 50m, and it is equipped with the perfected manual-winding chronograph movement, the Cal. 727.

The combination of a black dial and white subdials creates a nice vintage feel.
