This model attracted attention as the world's first diver's watch equipped with a rotating bezel for measuring diving time.
Developed for true professional divers operating in harsh environments.

The Ref. 16618, which was released in 1989, retained the design of the previous model, but the movement was changed from the Cal. 3035, which had a single bridge supporting the balance, to the Cal. 3135, which had twin bridges, improving stability and ease of maintenance.
The dial is available in two colors: blue and black.

The 18K yellow gold Submariner is truly a model worthy of being called the "King of Divers."
