In 1982, the GMT-Master II, featuring a new movement and improved usability, was introduced as the successor to the original model. Its functionality, robustness, and instantly recognizable design have captivated travelers worldwide.

It is equipped with the self-winding movement "Cal.3185," which allows for independent adjustment of the hour hand, and when used in conjunction with the bi-directional rotating bezel, it can display a third time zone.
This is a long-selling model that was produced for approximately 19 years (from around 1988 to 2007).
