Product Background

The world's first wristwatch, the Santos, was created in 1904 in response to a request from Brazilian aviator Sir Santos-Dumont to be able to check the time while flying. Over 100 years later, its design has become one of Cartier's most popular icons.

Model features

It is an LM size and is equipped with the in-house automatic caliber 1847MC.

Product design

The Roman numerals on the dial and the square railway minute scale inside them are characteristic of Cartier watch design. The case and bracelet are decorated with the screw motif unique to Santos watches.
