This model garnered attention as the world's first diver's watch equipped with a rotating bezel for measuring dive time. It was developed for true professional divers who work in harsh environments.

A new Submariner model was released in September 2020, and this model has since been discontinued. The enlarged case lugs further enhance durability, and the use of the Parachrom hairspring improves antimagnetic and shock resistance.

Released in 2012, it features a ceramic bezel. Compared to the previous model, the lugs and crown guard are larger, giving it a more masculine impression.
