There are some scratches appropriate for the age, but the case is sturdy and gives a good impression.
The dial is in very good condition with no visible stains or scratches.
The luminous material is all tritium, and both the hands and indexes are evenly tanned, giving it a nice vintage feel.
The MK3 bezel insert is also in good condition, faded to a navy color.
The "Ref. 5512" is becoming less common, so if you are looking for one, please consider this one.

This model was the talk of the town as the world's first diver's watch equipped with a rotating bezel to measure diving time. The Submariner was developed for true professional divers who work in harsh environments.

Produced from 1959 to 1978, it was the first Submariner to feature a crown guard. Compared to the Ref. 5513, the Ref. 5512 had a shorter production period and there are fewer of these watches on the market, making it a rare model.

The clean dial without a date, the domed crystal, and the rimless indexes give the design a classic feel.
