The Sky-Dweller, which is equipped with an annual calendar, is equipped with a complex movement (Cal. 9001) developed entirely in-house by Rolex, the first such movement since the Yacht-Master II.

It features a fluted bezel, a 24-hour display on the subdial, and a pointer-type month display in a window on the outside of the hour index.
