Product Background

Grand Seiko was born in 1960 as a high-precision mechanical watch that met the same Swiss chronometer excellence standard as a "domestic luxury product challenging Swiss luxury products."
This is a limited edition reproduction of the "Grand Seiko Special" released in 1970, a special specification model that improves on the standards of the time and complies with the current "Grand Seiko Special Standards Inspection."

Model features

It is equipped with the "Cal.9S86" movement, which adds a GMT function to the mechanical high-beat 36000.

Product design

The "SEIKO" logo is placed at the 12 o'clock position, making this a double-name model from before the brand renewal.
At the 6 o'clock position, the word "SPECIAL" is engraved in the same lettering as the Grand Seiko Special from 1970, certifying that the watch has passed the Grand Seiko Special standards inspection.
