Product Background

The world's first wristwatch, the Santos, was created in 1904 in response to a request from Brazilian aviator Sir Santos-Dumont to be able to check the time while flying. Over 100 years later, its design has become one of Cartier's most popular icons.

Model features

An early model of the Santos Galbee, also known as the Santos Carré or Santos Square, which means "square, angular" in French.

Product design

The case and bracelet feature the Santos' signature screw motif, which, combined with the full gold finish, creates a striking appearance. The black lacquer dial is set with 12 diamonds as indexes, creating a striking contrast with the gold case.
